As the daughter of world-renowned Master Perfumer, Jacques Chabert, Carla has fragrance woven into her very DNA. From soul-stirring Fiery Pink Pepper to refreshing Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel and unexpected Geranium Nefertum, Carla continues to challenge olfactive norms.
Carla grew up by the jasmine hills of Southern France; her cuisine aromatic with orange blossom, sweet cinnamon and freshly picked figs. Imagery was her first love, rousing an early ambition to become a film director. From a childhood spent clutching a Polaroid camera, Carla is constantly inspired by colours and shapes.
During a chance meeting with her father’s client, Carla was sparked by the artistic yet technical mastery of perfume. Colour remains an integral role in her creativity, with ingredients being associated with hues: “I keep a visual diary of pictures taken every day. They are things that I see, colours, plants, even shoes on the street. Anything that I find pretty.” Her Eaux de Parfum and Eaux de Toilette reach far beyond the blasé.
