Gift Card Terms & Conditions

Introduction
1) These terms and conditions (Terms) apply to all gift cards purchased in Molton Brown stores in the UK and online at www.moltonbrown.co.uk (Website). Please read them carefully before purchasing. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not complete your purchase.
2) For gift cards purchased in the United States, please visit www.moltonbrown.com for the applicable terms and conditions.
3) We may update these Terms from time to time by publishing a revised version on our Website.
4) Gift cards remain our property and we reserve the right to cancel a card if, in our sole discretion, we deem it necessary (for example, to comply with the law or due to circumstances beyond our control). This does not affect your statutory rights.
5) Unless otherwise stated, if there is any inconsistency between these Terms and any other communications (including our advertising or promotional materials), these Terms will take precedence.
Activation
6) A gift card can hold up to £2,500. This limit cannot be exceeded through balance transfers.
7) Online gift cards are available in set denominations. In-store, you may select any amount up to £2,500.
***Validity***
8) Gift cards are valid for 24 months from the date of activation (in-store, this is the date of purchase; online, it is the dispatch date). On expiry, any remaining balance will be removed.
9) Gift cards will automatically expire once their balance is exhausted.
10) You can check your balance at any Molton Brown store by presenting your card at the till or online during checkout.
Redemption
11) Gift cards purchased in the UK can be redeemed in Molton Brown stores in the UK, Republic of Ireland or USA or online at [www.moltonbrown.co.uk](http://www.moltonbrown.co.uk), [www.moltonbrown.eu](http://www.moltonbrown.eu), [www.moltonbrown.de](http://www.moltonbrown.de) or [www.moltonbrown.com](http://www.moltonbrown.com). They cannot be used with third-party retailers.
12) UK gift cards are issued in GBP. Where applicable, you will be responsible for any currency conversion rates applied at the time of use.
13) Gift cards may be used as full or part payment for in-store purchases or online orders. If the value of your purchase exceeds the balance on the card, the remaining amount must be paid using another accepted payment method.
14) Only one gift card may be used per online order.
15) Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash or used to purchase another gift card.
16) Each card has a unique PIN beneath a security panel on the back. This pin is required for online purchases.
17) Any unused balance will remain on the card and update automatically after each purchase.
18) If you exchange an item purchased with a gift card for an item of lower value, the difference will be returned to the remaining balance on the card.
19) If you return an item purchased with a gift card, any refund due will be credited to the remaining balance on the gift card.
20) Retain your gift card if you intend to return a purchase. Refunds can only be credited to the original gift card or to a new card if the original is lost.
21) For partial refunds of orders paid with both a gift card and another payment method, the refund will be credited to the gift card first. Any remaining balance will be refunded to your other payment method.
Lost, stolen or damaged cards
22) You are responsible for keeping your gift card safe after receipt. Lost or stolen cards cannot be replaced or refunded and we accept no liability for any loss resulting from theft, fraud or unauthorised use.
23) If your gift card becomes damaged, we may be able to replace it provided you still have the physical card and we can verify the required details.
***Cancellation***
24) Gift cards cannot be returned or refunded, except in accordance with your statutory rights.
25) For online gift card purchases, you have a legal right (under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013) to change your mind within 14 days of delivery (**Cooling Off Period**), subject to the following:
a) you must notify our Customer Service Team within 14 days of delivery;
b) we will refund the purchase price and any standard delivery charges within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice. If your order qualified for free delivery or you selected a premium delivery service, delivery charges will not be refunded;
c) No balance can have been spent for a refund to be issued.
26) If you cancel an online gift card order, you do not need to return the physical gift card to us.
Governing Law and jurisdiction
27) These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
28) To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
