Standard Molton Brown Event Terms and Conditions

  1. These terms and conditions apply to events hosted by Molton Brown Limited or its promotional partners (“Molton Brown”) at Molton Brown physical store locations (each an “Event”, together the “Events”). Additional details and terms may apply to each Event and these will be notified to customers prior to booking the relevant Event.

  2. These terms and conditions set out the basis upon which Molton Brown will provide services to you and anyone you book an Event for. The Services mean all the services provided by Molton Brown to you for the purposes of booking, accessing and attending events.

  3. By booking an Event, you confirm that you understand and accept these terms and conditions and agree to comply with them, in addition to any special terms that are applicable to the relevant Event (including without limitation age restrictions). You also confirm this for any guests you are making a booking for. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not book and attend an Event. By signing up for an Event, you also agree to be bound by Molton Brown’s Privacy and Cookies Policy.

  4. We may amend these terms from time to time. Your continued attendance at Events following any such changes shall be deemed your acceptance of such change.

The Event

  1. All Events are subject to availability and any stated maximum capacities. Unless stated otherwise, spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and customers must follow any specific instructions communicated by Molton Brown regarding the Event booking process.

  2. Molton Brown may from time to time use third party providers to collect and record registrations for an Event (including via websites such as Eventbrite). Registration must take place prior to the start time and date of the Event for the ticket to be valid. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for your use of third party websites (which may be governed by their own terms and conditions) and shall not be responsible for any incorrectly submitted, incomplete, illegible or corrupted information provided by you in connection with an Event.

  3. Customers are kindly asked to arrive at Events promptly for the started start time. Customers who arrive late may not be permitted entry to the Event.

  4. Certain Events may have an age restriction. It is your responsibility to check all details and any restrictions in relation to an Event prior to booking. This includes the disclosure of any medical or other allergy/health information, if required in connection with the relevant Event. Molton Brown reserves the right to request a valid form of photo ID prior to entry to an Event. Where applicable, Molton Brown may also ask customers to produce their ticket and/or booking confirmation corresponding to their photo ID. If a customer is unable to provide a valid form of photo ID and/or ticket and/or booking reference to Molton Brown’s satisfaction, the customer (nor any of its guests, if applicable) will be permitted to attend the Event.

  5. Molton Brown reserves the right to refuse entry to an Event for any reason at its sole discretion.

  6. Molton Brown reserves the right to alter or vary the content or timing of an Event and/or to cancel an Event in unforeseen circumstances. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any disappointment suffered as a result of your failure to attend the Event.

  7. Where children are permitted to attend an Event (in accordance with any specific Event terms and conditions), they must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian (18 years or older) at all times. However, customers must be aged 18 years or over to receive an alcoholic drink at an Event where alcohol is served, provided ID is shown and verified by Molton Brown.

  8. Molton Brown shall have no responsibility for any adverse effects resulting from drink or food consumed at an Event or for any other loss, damage or injury suffered, sustained or incurred by a customer in attendance at the Event, or any loss or damage to property as a result of attending an Event.

  9. Please note any images used in connection with the promotion of an Event are for illustrative purposes only and may not be a true reflection of the Event.

  10. Unless otherwise specified in the special terms for the Event, all Event tickets are non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchange for cash or otherwise.

  11. Molton Brown may take photographs and/or video footage during an Event for marketing and promotional purposes, both internal and external. Unless otherwise notified to Molton Brown, by registering and attending the Event you provide your consent to Molton Brown using this Promotional Material without restriction or compensation. If you wish not to be filmed or photographed, please inform a staff member at the Event.

Privacy

  1. We really value your privacy and our Privacy and Cookies Policy sets out how we may collect and use your personal data and how we look after it in compliance with relevant data protection legislation. This includes any personal information you (or the person who the Event booking relates to) provide to Molton Brown in connection with an Event. Molton Brown may work with third parties to process your booking for an Event and the personal information that you provide will either be provided to the third party directly (and processed in accordance with their privacy policy) or will be shred with them for such purposes. Molton Brown may retain your personal information, preferences and details of your transactions in order to provide the best customer experience before and after the applicable Event and to gain a better understanding of which Events are of most interest to you and our other customers. We will retain the same in accordance with relevant data protection legislation and our Privacy and Cookies Policy.

General

  1. Molton Brown reserves the right to alter or vary the content or timing of an Event and/or to cancel an Event due to unforeseen circumstances beyond its control. Molton Brown accepts no responsibility for any disappointment suffered as a result of a failure to attend an Event. Please note we may have to ask that you not attend an Event if you have symptoms of Covid-19 or indicate that you have had these symptoms in the past ten days. The situation in relation to Covid-19 remains uncertain and may change at short notice. Molton Brown will update you in this regard so far as reasonably practicable.

  2. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Conditions and any specific Event terms, the specific Event terms shall take priority.

  3. These terms and conditions and any specific Event terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Returns

For in store purchases: We are offering exchange or refunds on 100ml eau de parfums or eau de toilettes purchased in-store as part of this offer. This excludes personalized items, which will not be eligible for a refund unless faulty. If you would like to return your product, you will need to return it to a standalone store in the UK or Republic of Ireland within 28 days of purchase in its original, unused and saleable condition and provide instore staff with the relevant receipt or gift receipt. 3. Personal Data All references to “Personal Data” are construed to have the same meaning as defined under the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). Unless you choose to log into your Google account, Molton Brown will not collect any Personal Data that will allow us to identify you via this Form such as name, email address, phone number. We ask that you do not provide us with any personal data including information about medical conditions. However, any Personal Data you do choose to provide to us will be handed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and will not be shared with third parties. Should you have any queries or complaints regarding our products, services, or quiet hours, please do not enter these into the form. You can contact us with any queries or complaints using the details in clause 9 below. The anonymous information you provide to us in this Form will only be used for the Purpose set out above. Feedback that you provide to us will not affect your statutory rights, however We do not tolerate any abusive or offensive language and reserve the right to take appropriate action as We deem necessary in the event that such language is used in the Form or in any communication with Us. We may update these Terms from time to time in response to changing legal, regulatory or operational requirements. We will notify you of any such changes, including when they will take effect, by updating the "Last revised" date above or as otherwise required by applicable law.
Your continued use of the Form after any such updates take effect will constitute acceptance of those changes.

1. The Bazaarvoice Monthly Prize Draw is a series of monthly prize draws.

2. The ‘Promoter’ of the prize draws is Molton Brown Limited, whose registered office is 6 Agar Street, London, WC2N 4HN (registered in England and Wales under company number 02414997). The ‘Promotional Partner’ is Bazaarvoice Limited, whose registered office is Level 12, Thames Tower, Reading, RG1 1LX (registered in England and Wales under company number 05976217).

3. The prize draws are only open to residents of the United Kingdom who are aged 18 and over, excluding employees of the Promoter and the Promotional Partner, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize draw.

4. The prize for each months’ prize draw is £300 worth of Molton Brown products (curated and selected at the Promotor’s sole discretion).

5. The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and there is no cash alternative. The Promoter reserves the right (but is under no obligation) to replace any prize with a substitute prize of equal or greater value should circumstances make this necessary.

6. Entries for each prize draw will open at 00.01 (GMT/BST) on the first calendar day of the month and close at 23:59 (GMT/BST) on the final calendar day of the month.

7. To enter a prize draw, you must leave a review via Bazaarvoice in the month before the relevant draw takes place and the review must be published. Every review we receive goes through a third party for moderation before we publish it to ensure all our reviews contain relevant and appropriate information. If your review has not been published, you will not be entered into this prize draw. Our reviews are managed by our third party partner Bazaarvoice; please see here for their full terms and conditions.

8. The Promoter and Promotional Partner do not accept responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault of any kind or entries that are incomplete, ineligible, delayed, wrongly delivered or not received for any reason.

9. By completing and submitting a review, you agree to the Promoter using your details to enter you into the prize draw. By entering the prize draw, you agree that you have read and understood these terms and conditions as well as Molton Brown’s General Competition Terms and Conditions which apply to all prize draws run by or on behalf of the Promoter.

10. There is a limit of one entry per person per month. You will only be eligible to win 1 x prize in any given month and a maximum of three (3) prizes over the course of a year.

11. On the first working day of each month, we will draw the winner for the previous month (“Draw Date”). The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received during the previous month.

12. The winner will be contacted by the Promoter via email (using the email address provided when submitting their review) within 7 days of the relevant Draw Date.

13. The winner must respond to the Promoter within 5 days of notification to confirm acceptance of the prize and must provide a postal address in order to claim their prize. It is the winner’s responsibility to ensure the details it provides to the Promoter in connection with the prize draw are complete and accurate.

14. The prize will be sent by couriered delivery within 28 days of the winner claiming their prize and providing their details to the Promoter. It is the winner’s responsibility to sign for the prize on delivery. The Promoter accepts no liability for prize(s) lost or damaged in transit, misplaced, delayed or otherwise. 

15. The winner of each prize draw agrees to take part in non-paid publicity relating to the prize draw including but not limited to: photo-shoots and interviews, only if requested to do so by the Promoter.

16.The Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner for a prize draw in the event that the Promoter has reasonable grounds for believing that a selected winner has contravened any of these terms, the winner does not claim their prize within 5 days, the winner is unable to be identified or verified, or the prize cannot be delivered to the selected winner. An alternative winner will be selected applying the same criteria as that used to select the original winner of the prize draw.

17. Any decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

18. This prize draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with any social media platform.

19. By entering a prize draw, entrants agree that their personal data will be used by the Promotor for the purposes of administering the prize draw and in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy (available at www.moltonbrown.co.uk/store/privacy-policy). The Promotional Partner may also collect and process personal information of entrants in connection with the prize draw. To the extent the Promotional Partner collects and processes personal data, such data shall be handled in accordance with the Promotional Partner’s privacy policy available here.

20. The surname and the county of each winner will be available on request for one month after the relevant Draw Date by sending an email to customerservice@moltonbrown.com. Winners may object to the disclosure of this information by sending an email to  customerservice@moltonbrown.com at any point up until they claim their prize. The information shall nevertheless be made available to the Advertising Standards Authority upon request. 

21. The prize draw and these terms and conditions are subject to English law. Any disputes must be referred to the English Courts.

  17. The prize will be sent by couriered delivery within 28 days of the winner claiming their prize and providing their details to the Promoter. The Promoter accepts no liability for prize(s) lost, misplaced, delayed or otherwise.
  18. The Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner for a prize draw in the event that the Promoter has reasonable grounds for believing that a selected winner has contravened any of these terms, the winner does not claim their prize within 5 days, the winner is unable to be identified or verified, or the prize cannot be delivered to the selected winner. An alternative winner will be selected applying the same criteria as that used to select the original winner of the prize draw.
  19. Any decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  20. This prize draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with any social media platform.
  21. By entering a prize draw, entrants agree that their personal data will be used by the Promotor for the purposes of collecting the survey results and administering the prize draw. All personal data shall be processed in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy (available at www.moltonbrown.co.uk/store/privacy-policy).
  22. The surname and the county of each winner will be available on request for one month after the relevant Draw Date by sending an email to customerservice@moltonbrown.com. Winners may object to the disclosure of this information by sending an email to  customerservice@moltonbrown.com at any point up until they claim their prize. The information shall nevertheless be made available to the Advertising Standards Authority upon request.
  23. The Store Survey Prize Draw and these terms and conditions are subject to English law. Any disputes must be referred to the English Courts.
